visual art
This piece is a 4" x 4" analogue collage on canvas from a series in which I incorporate a fragment of text from a page of "Daily-Life Language Series, Book One"; a children's textbook from 1931, into small works. My collages are assembled from magazine and catalogue scraps which I tear or cut and keep in an unmanageable number of cardboard boxes in my studio.
Susan Barry-Schulz (she/her) is a first generation Estonian-American poet and visual artist who grew up just outside of Buffalo, NY.
